Audio Visual Events Limited in Auckland are the proud owners of the first Turbosound Aspect® Wide system in New Zealand. Adding to their already extensive range of Audio Visual Equipment, the new Aspect Wide system further increases their capability to deliver quality audio across a wide range of venues and audiences.
Aspect Wide consists of the three-way TA-500 cabinet (15" LF, 10" MF and a 50mm HF device) and matching TSW-218 (horn loaded dual 18") concert subwoofer.
The system for AV Events includes four Aspect Wide TA-500's, four TSW-218 and a pre-wired amplifier rack consisting of Turbosound LMS processors and Lab.gruppen fP series power amplifiers.
The TA-500 is based around the Aspect long-throw touring cabinets but in a wider dispersion format suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. The TA-500 includes a patented high and mid frequency device called a Polyhorn™ which is designed to generate an exceptionally smooth and accurate wavefront over the entire mid and high frequency band. The result is a very clean and articulate sound which can throw exceptional distances but does not "bark" or sound unpleasant for audience members seated near the loudspeakers. The patented Polyhorn™ also provides precise pattern control enabling sound to be focused where it needs to go rather than reflecting off walls or other surfaces.
Although capable of an impressive 141 dB (peak) per cabinet, the sound quality of the TA-500 makes it equally suitable in corporate environments, live music shows and club applications. Spoken word is reinforced with incredible accuracy and projection, while music remains tight, punchy and pleasant at all sound pressure levels. The TSW-218 dual 18" subwoofer adds low-frequency energy to the TA-500's and is capable of extreme low end for dance music applications while remaining defined and "tight" for live music and playback.
Scott MacKenzie, MD of AV Events, commented: "We've already used the system on a wide range of events and we couldn't be happier with its performance. Our staff and clients love it." Riki Willis, head audio tech for AV Events added: "The Aspect system is a pleasure to set-up and operate. We've used the system for everything from product launches to corporate dinners as well as at a number of outdoor festivals. It sounds great."
