Stockholm's latest trendy late-night venue, Hell's Kitchen, has recently opened its doors to the city's party people.
Its luxurious décor is complimented with an equally lavish Turbosound audio system, supplied by Swedish distributor New Musik Sweden and installed by Sound City for club owners Stureplansgruppen.
Four NuQ-12 switchable active/passive cabinets capable of delivering 133dB cover the dancefloor, along with eight NuQ-8, positioned in the bar area and delivering up to a maximum 124dB SPL. NuQ's advanced neodymium magnets, low distortion rotatable high frequency waveguides and pre-bent plywood construction provide the highest possible performance, flexibility, handling and reliability, an important factor in a high-end venue such as Hell's Kitchen. "Turbosound has a very good reputation on the Stockholm club scene," says New Musik Sweden's sales manager Håkan Sjöö. "And with the launch of the NuQ series, they will continue to be number one."
The NuQ cabinets are augemented with four TSB-118 and two TSB-212 subs, with four TCS-50Ts for the restroom are. Amplification is via Turbosound-badged MC2 T45 and T25s with control provided by an Ashly 24.24M matrix processor.
The club's opening night was highlighted with a performance from famous rap star Snoop Dogg, whose music vibrated through the club via the NuQ speakers.
"Hell's Kitchen is drawing an exclusive clientele, and its popularity makes it a great reference project for us" adds Sjöö. "Stureplansgruppen is very satisfied with our work, and we're looking forward to trying to win projects and upgrades for their other clubs in the future."
