Matsuda Trading Co (MTC), Turbosound's Japanese distributor, has recently delivered loudspeaker systems to three restaurants that offer live music as part of the evening's entertainment.
The first is called Pinky and is situated in the Ikebukuro area of Tokyo. Here they have installed a system based on QLight TQ-315 enclosures along with TXD-218 subwoofers and TXD-15M and TXD-12M floor monitors.
Pinky is located in the downtown district of Tokyo and is therefore very convenient for office workers, who can enjoy a wide variety of music from soul to pop. "I chose the TQ-315 because it is capable of producing high power whilst Turbosound's Converging Eliptical Waveguide means that it is very smooth through the high frequencies," comments Mr Minaba, who designed the system. "With the addition of the TXD-12M compact high power floor monitors, this is a system that is particularly suitable for this type of live music venue."

Macarthur, in Saitama located to the north of Tokyo, is a converted cinema and so has large internal dimensions. This requires a solution that is discreet, yet can deliver enough power to ensure that customers can enjoy the eclectic mix of general background, disco and Hawaiian music.
To this end, TXD-252 switchable bi-amp/passive full range loudspeakers formed the main part of the system, with TXD-218 and -151 subwoofers and TXD-15M floor monitors.
Finally, Redhouse, named for its vibrant internal colour, situated in Sendai Miyagi Tohoku district, again benefits from TXD-252s with TXD-218 subwoofers.

Mr.Shoji, the Redhouse's owner, has expressed his liking of the Turbosound system. Not only is he impressed with the sound quality, but he also likes the contrast of the blue cabinets against the red walls of the restaurant.
Great sound and great colour - a winning combination in Japan.
