The system shall be of the full range passive two-way ceiling-mount type consisting of one 5" (127mm) LF driver and one 1" (25mm) ferrofluid-cooled neodymium soft dome tweeter. Performance specifications of a typical production unit shall meet or exceed the following: Frequency response, measured with swept sine wave input, shall be flat within ±4dB from 75Hz to 22kHz. Nominal dispersion, at -6dB points, shall average 180° x 180°. Nominal impedance (excluding line transformer) shall be 16 ohms. Power handling shall be 75 watts r.m.s., 150 watts program. Sensitivity, measured with 1 watt input at 1 metre distance on axis, mean averaged over stated bandwidth, shall 91dB. Maximum SPL (peak) measured with music program at stated amplifier input shall be 116dB. Dimensions: 268mm (10.5") diameter x 83mm (3.3") deep, 219mm (8.6") deep with backbox. Weight: 3.4kg (7lbs). The loudspeaker shall conform to BS5839 Part 8 and IEC/EN 60849 regulations. The loudspeaker system shall be the Turbosound TCS-C50T. No other loudspeaker shall be acceptable unless submitted data from an independent test laboratory verify that the above combined performance / size specifications are equalled or exceeded.
