The 500-capacity Cargo is a new venue to the ever-growing Shoreditch scene. Committed to quality sounds from lunchtime until close - and music from around the globe every day of the week - the only musical policy at Cargo is that there isn't one.

Dedicated to importing an eclectic and open-minded programme of live concerts and dynamic DJ sets, Cargo needed a sound system that would do justice across the board of musical styles.

Marquee Audio were approached to fulfil the bar's audio requirements, and specified Turbosound throughout. With such a versatile mix of styles on offer six flown TQ-440 three-way loudspeakers matched with five THL-828 2 x 18" low frequency cabinets were specified to provide a potent dance sound, while TCS-35 enclosures became an automatic solution to distribute the playback sound around the central bar.

There will be live performances each day - ranging from presentations by special international guests to showcase gigs by local musicians. To this end a further three TCS-15M and TCS-12M floor monitors were supplied by Marquee.

He is confident that the Turbosound PA will inject a high level of energy into every evening, as specially commissioned film and live relays are projected throughout the building.

Conceptualised by the team behind the 'Shoreditch Godfather', Cantaloupe (winner of 1997 Time Out Best Bar Award), and music promoters Bonanza (Bar Rumba, The Annexe, Cuba) the experienced Cargo team pledges to deliver nothing but the best.
