Jerusalem,
UK A
new upmarket bar/restaurant in London's
Soho
has had its sound reinforcement provided by multiples of
Impact loudspeakers coloured in British racing green that
perfectly matches the restaurant's design decor. The
enclosures at Jerusalem were specified by Streatham-based
SLR, whose Darren Hutch says that they were perfect for the
job. He chose eight Impact
80s
and an Impact 180 sub, which were fed from a DJ rostrum."The
ability to specify racing green won us the job,' admitted
Darren. "I
couldn't believe it when I saw the light fittings - that
colour is everywhere you look in the restaurant."Knowing
that he could discreetly match the system to the design
scheme he took a demo system down to the restaurant - and
the owners loved it.The highly-designed Rathbone Place
restaurant is likely to enjoy a high profile as it joins the
ownership stable of central London eateries that includes
the fashionable Bar Rumba, Saint Bar & Restaurant, Sub
Station, Sub Station South and Villa Stefano."This is our
first installation using Impacts and it's been a big
success," enthused Darren. So much so, in fact, that he
promptly earmarked another six Impact 80s - a more
regulation grey this time - for the new Henry J Beans in the
fast developing cafe-bar city of Bristol. "Our relationship
with Turbosound is fairly new - but after getting off to
such a positive start I hope we can do a lot more business
with them," he said.
