The Mark Bar has opened its doors equipped with a brand new QLight and TCS system supplied by Technical Response Group Pty Ltd (TRG).

Billed as Brisbane's newest "funky" venue showcasing the latest trends in bar culture, The Mark is situated in the northside area, at Centro Shopping Centre in Toombul. The Mark's exciting décor comprises timber polished concrete floors, expanses of angled and curved white walls, psychedelic television screens, and discrete groupings of comfortable seating in neutral tones - designed to provide a relaxed stage which is proving to attract a diverse crowd in the newly-redeveloped shopping centre. The venue offers five distinct dining and bar areas, with the sound system handling the requirement for a background music system, and a powerful dance floor system.

Andrew Wood from TRG designed the Turbosound system, comprising a mix of TQ-230 speakers, with TQ-115 and TCS-108 subs, with the assistance of Greg Nuttall from Audio Telex Systems. According to Andrew, the choice was made on the basis of "Turbosound's sound quality and reliability, as well as the speakers' compact dimensions, aesthetics and ease of mounting." The dance floor system uses recessed and horizontally-mounted TQ-230's complemented by floor-mounted TQ-115 subwoofers.

The audio system is processed by a MediaMatrix X-Frame88, and powered by Australian Monitor amplifiers, and when not in DJ mode, is controlled by a Crestron Control System. The full Turbosound system line-up comprises: eight TQ-230 speakers; two TQ-115 and two TCS-108 sub speakers.
