Kensington
Royal Garden Hotel, UK London-based
Turbosound dealer and installer, B&H Production Systems,
has completed an overhaul of the sound system within the
main banqueting suites of Kensington's Royal Garden
Hotel. The
Royal Garden is the only five-star hotel in Kensington, and
prides itself on the quality of the services it offers. Once
it had become apparent that the quality of sound for the
privately-hired function areas was diminishing, AV
technician, Michael Chadwick, invited tenders. B&H's
solution revolved around the state-of-the-art
TCS-30
loudspeakers. Twelve of the small and discreet cabinets were
placed around the 400-capacity space, to form a
configuration of optimised flexibility - allowing the focus
of the room to almost anywhere to suit a myriad of different
functions. A Crestron control system enables the new
Turbosound self-powered TQ-425SP
sub-bass units to be patched in for heavier duty music
requirements. Chadwick
commented, "The original design brief set out that the main
room would need to be split into two on occasions to suit
the functions for which the hotel caters. John Ellis from
B&H has exceeded our original expectations by a long
shot - and at an extremely competitive price. "The
Royal Garden now boasts the most sophisticated sound system
in central London - we know that because since the
installation, we've compared it against others - and there
is no competition." John
Ellis added, "Turbosound's TCS-30's,
like the other speakers in the range, give excellent
coverage - in fact, one of the main selling points of this
design was the seamless sound. The TCS-30
is a very versatile speaker - the dual 5" low-frequency
drivers negate the need for extra bass in most instances and
the 1" compression driver is great for speech as well as
music playback."
