Trocadero,
London The
Impact of the videowalls
in London's latest leisure attraction at the Trocadero is
boosted by a Turbosound system. The
Trocadero, bang in the middle of central London on
Piccadilly Circus, is a unique combination of shops and
entertainment, which has as its centrepiece the UK's first
virtual reality arcade, SegaWorld. A huge
108-screen video wall stands in the central atrium of the
9-storey building, complemented by a muscular sound system
made up of 4 Flashlight TFS-780H
cabinets and 4 Floodlight TFL-760Hs
'skeleton' loudspeakers. This multimedia installation,
provided by the venue's AV contractor Electrosonic, delivers
a full blooded light, sound and laser display as pre-show
entertainment for visitors entering the SegaWorld virtual
reality cent Fifteen
different audio-visual sites have been installed around the
Trocadero, and to provide top-quality audio for these
entertainments, Electrosonic has used a wide variety of
Turbosound mini-rigs, including Impact 120s, TCS-612s and
TXD speakers. More than enough to stimulate the anticipated
16 million visitors a year.
