The Turbosound TCX118B-R is a weather-resistant 18" band-pass subwoofer engineered to extend the low-frequency response of TCX-series tops in permanent outdoor installations and damp-environment fixed AV deployments.

The IP-rated "-R" build — sealed connector compartment, protected ports, weather-resistant grille treatment — means this sub can be specified for poolside, marina, covered terrace and theme-park applications where indoor-only enclosures would fail.

Why band-pass

The dual-port band-pass alignment delivers a meaningful efficiency advantage over equivalent reflex designs through the kick-drum and bass-guitar band, with reduced harmonic distortion. That translates to high musical SPL from a single cabinet, important when riggable real estate is constrained.
