18" Band-Pass Subwoofer for Portable PA and Installation Applications

About this product

18" Band-Pass Subwoofer for Portable PA and Installation Applications

The Turbosound TCX-18B is an 18" band-pass subwoofer rated at 1,000 Watts continuous and 4,000 Watts peak, engineered to extend the low-frequency response of compact tops in portable PA and fixed-installation systems where physical footprint and clean reproduction both matter.

Why band-pass

The dual-port band-pass alignment trades a small amount of extension for significant gains in efficiency and reduced harmonic distortion through the kick-drum and bass-guitar band. The result is a sub that punches well above its cabinet size in club, worship and corporate AV applications where you cannot put a wall of 18"s on the floor.

Engineering highlights

  • Double-suspension 18" LF driver with inside/outside wound voice coil for high power handling and thermal stability
  • Low-distortion dual-port enclosure tuned for maximum SPL in the sub-bass region
  • 18 mm (3/4") birch-plywood cabinet finished in hard-wearing semi-matt black paint
  • Integral M10 rigging points for flown or wall-mount installation
  • 35 mm pole-mount socket to support a satellite top such as the TCX-10 or TCX-15
  • Industry-standard 4-pole twist-lock speakON® connectors and barrier strip for input-and-link operation

Pair with TCX-series tops on poles for a self-contained portable rig, or fly in matched pairs for permanent installs where intelligible, controlled low-end is the brief.
