The Turbosound 55T is a pair of compact two-way full-range surface-mount loudspeakers from the Impact Series, designed and engineered in the United Kingdom for distributed installation applications requiring greater output than the 35T. Each cabinet delivers 60 watts continuous and 240 watts peak through a high-excursion 5-inch low-frequency driver with high-temperature voice coil and a ferrofluid-cooled high-frequency tweeter, presented through a perforated steel grille over an acoustically transparent foam liner. The moulded ABS enclosure incorporates internal bracing and a tuned reflex port for low-mid extension at the higher continuous SPL the cabinet supports, suiting the 55T to mid-size hospitality rooms, retail floors, conferencing venues and houses of worship where the 35T would be under-specified. Integral 70 V / 100 V line transformers with multi-tap power selection allow the install engineer to balance audio distribution across long line-level cable runs and many cabinets from a single 70/100 V amplifier channel, with a low-impedance (8-ohm) bypass on the input plate supporting stereo-pair operation on a conventional amplifier where line distribution is not required. The two-way passive crossover is voiced for vocal intelligibility and music programme across the same tonal balance as the 35T, allowing the install engineer to mix the two SKUs across a venue's coverage zones without tonal mismatch. Each cabinet is supplied with a moulded mounting bracket that allows fast on-wall or on-ceiling commissioning with continuous aim adjustment, locking final aim against the venue's measured coverage plot.
